Wavy Hair – Use your Curling Iron to Wave Hair

18Aug09

One of the hottest looks for Fall Hairstyles is soft, sultry waves. Getting wavy hair is simple and all you need is a 1.5″ curling iron.

1.Section hair so that you can can work from the back bottom layers and up.

2.Secure sections of hair with hair clips.

3. Taking sections of hair about 1-2 inches wide place curling iron near the roots of the section and then wrap the section of hair around the barrel of your curling iron.

4. Hold for 10 seconds or so and then simply let go of the section of hair.

5. Continue with the rest of your hair, section by section, working your way to the front and up.

6. You can use your fingers to gently comb through the waves for a more natural looking wavy hairstyle.

7. Spray hair with a flexible hold hairspray and you’re good to go!

  1. how do u “wrap your hair” around the curling iron???

    • Hey Hanna,

Holding your curling iron in one hand, take a section of hair and holding it at the ends just wrap the hair around the barrel (not using the clamp, keep it closed) It works the easiest if you hold the curling iron next to your head with the tip facing downward. Be careful not to get to close to your head and watch your fingers so you dont burn yourself.

Hold hair around the barrel for a few second then just let go and voila! Done =)
